As a part of the interdisciplinary team, our RDs are involved in the management of tube feedings, wound care, dialysis, weight loss, and any other high nutritional risk residents. Through clinical assessment, we are able to determine the needs of each individual and if there is a deficit, we work with the resident, family, and the team to determine the best intervention for the resident to meet their goals. The link between good nutrition and good food is crucial for positive outcomes. CDS RDs also provide dining support to ensure your meals are enjoyable. Food is one of the few pleasures that residents continue to control after they have admitted. Cookie-cutter corporate menus and recipes don't work for every resident in every facility. Our dietitians are able to tailor menus and recipes to meet your facility's needs to help provide the best patient outcomes.
